Hokie Family Annual Fund

This video was filmed during COVID-19 observing physical distancing guidelines.

Students thrive when they are able to build connections and find community.

Student Affairs supports Hokies by offering ways to build those connections to make our large, public university feel a little bit smaller…a place they call home.

In a year unlike any other, Student Affairs is shifting to find new ways to create a sense of belonging for all students. Through intentional virtual programming and physically distanced in-person events, Student Affairs continues to focus on the whole student -- supporting them in their purpose and their passion, their interpersonal skills, their financial literacy, their investment in the community, and their holistic health and well-being.

The Hokie Family Annual Fund exists to respond to immediate needs and to develop future opportunities to build connections. Your gift to the Hokie Family Annual Fund Impacts the Track for all students by helping to create stimulating, secure, nurturing, and fun environments now and in the future. Your gift to the Hokie Family Annual Fund makes possible:

  • Initiatives like Welcome Week to ease the transition to college and introduce students to Hokie traditions.
  • Emergency funds for when unexpected emergencies or circumstances arise.
  • Group workshops about health and happiness taught by peer educators.
  • Leadership opportunities through student organizations.

Help your student thrive. Help ALL students thrive. A gift of any size to the Hokie Family Annual Fund, combined with other gifts, can Impact the Track today and in the future.

Your gift can go further with challenges!

Giving Day challenges are all about participation. A gift of any amount counts toward the challenge, and when we reach our goal, additional gifts are unlocked.

Hokie Family Annual Fund challenge: once 175 donors have made a gift to the Hokie Family Annual Fund, the Virginia Tech Parent Council will generously donate $1,750!
