- Student Affairs Annual Fund supports our vice president’s highest priorities and programs to help develop students into the leaders our world needs.
- Hokie Family Annual Fund helps educate our students about Hokie traditions and supports transition programs like Gobblerfest, Weeks of Welcome, and alcohol-free weekend programming.
Departments:
- Cook Counseling Center helps Hokies care for their mental health (and in 2021, it was ranked No. 1 for Best Counseling Services by the Princeton Review!)
- Cranwell International Center provides programs and services for international students, promotes the development of global and intercultural competence in all students, and positions the university as more globally oriented and internationally connected.
- Dining Services aims to be the leader of college and university foodservice by providing innovative and exceptional food, venues, programs, and services while fostering student development and a sense of community.
- Fraternity and Sorority Life maintains an annual Fraternity and Sorority Life Scorecard containing information about chapter health, successes, and challenges.
- Hokie Wellness empowers Hokies to actively approach their physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
- New Student and Family Programs helps students and their families begin their lives as Hokies.
- Recreational Sports engages students in physical activities to create healthy lifestyle habits.
- Residential Well-being is focused on a creative and responsive model to the residential experience, meeting the needs of a student’s mental, emotional, and social well-being.
- Schiffert Health Center leads the way in managing community and individual health on campus.
- Services for Students with Disabilities supports students with disabilities and temporary injuries or illnesses through accommodations and other services.
- Student Engagement and Campus Life creates innovative environments, events such as Gobblerfest and GobblerNights, and leadership development programs for student organizations.
- VT Engage: The Center for Leadership and Service Learning equips students to develop as leaders through civic engagement and service-learning opportunities.
Programs:
- Animal-Assisted Therapy provides outreach services or individual and group therapy involving one of our trained therapy dogs.
- Civic and Democracy Leadership prepares students to engage in civic life through learning the basic tenets of democracy, developing superior listening skills, and practicing finding common ground among deep differences in perspective.
- Interfaith Program promotes constructive dialogue and builds relationships across lines of difference.
- The Market of Virginia Tech offers food assistance to students struggling to obtain regular, healthy meals.
- Recovery Community works to ensure that students do not have to choose between recovery from addiction and their education.
- Student Emergency Fund supports students who find themselves in immediate financial need.
