Radio IQ | WVTF Music

Your days are filled with a deluge of information from social media, TV and radio, and countless websites. But especially now, you need more than just information. You need facts, relevance, and understanding. That comes from the kind of journalism you find every time you listen to RADIO IQ, your window to the world — from breaking news to storytelling. This public resource is a service Virginia Tech is proud to make available to you 24/7.

There's also no complete picture of the human condition without the arts. That's why WVTF Music is committed to presenting the majesty of classical music works by Bach and Mozart, Grieg and Verdi. The grand gestures of Duke Ellington, Miles Davis, and Thelonious Monk have an evening home along with current artists who are making their mark on jazz. WVTF Music also proudly presents regional music on weekends, featuring local bluegrass, songwriters, and national voices in contemporary Americana and Appalachian roots music. We're the place in Virginia to hear Infamous Stringdusters, Mandolin Orange, and Jason Isbell.
