Triumph Together 2021

YOUR support during Triumph Together will go to the following areas of need:

-Annual Mental Health Summit Collaborative initiative with CAMP (Counseling and Athletic Mental Performance) which will provide student-athletes, coaches and staff the opportunity to continue dialogue surrounding mental health issues impacting college athletes and explore strategies and best practices for mental health care for student-athletes

-Leadership Institute Enhance support for on-campus leadership programs including, but not limited to, monthly leadership workshops, leadership retreat, guest speakers, and our off-campus experiential leadership programs, both domestic and abroad, which help student-athletes expand their world view, enhance self-discovery and leadership, and use their influence to positively impact others. We have offered experiences for seven years and completed our first domestic leadership experience in August 2019. Locations have included the Dominican Republic, Switzerland, Rwanda, and Colorado Springs.

-Professional Development Stipends Provide stipends for student-athletes to join professional organizations, attend professional conferences and industry events, and participate in internships, in order to advance professional development and networking opportunities prior to graduation

-Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Leadership Retreat Provide a full-day, off-campus retreat for student-athletes in the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) focusing on training and development in the areas of leadership, personal growth, self-awareness, strategic planning, effective communication, and team-building

-Career Treks Provide Provide student-athletes the opportunity to travel to various cities to explore potential careers, network with professionals, and expose student-athletes to a variety of professional industries. In 2019, we completed our first-ever Sports Industry Trek in Charlotte, NC and look forward to broadening the exposure for student-athletes in a variety of locations locally and nationally.
