Triumph Together 2021

The Hokies’ track and field program added yet another ACC Championship to the trophy case this season. Winning Tech’s 17th title since joining the ACC, the men’s team posted 136 points and was crowned Indoor ACC Champions by the largest margin of victory in the conference’s modern era. Outdoors, conference success continued as seven Hokies earned individual ACC titles, bringing the total number of conference gold medalists this season to 14. On the national stage, Hokies continued to shine. Twenty-three Tech athletes earned All-America honors across the Indoor and Outdoor NCAA Championships, shattering 15 school records in the process. 

YOUR support during Triumph Together will help our program achieve the following fundraising initiatives:

-Complete the "telling" of the history of our Championship program over the last 110 years through displays and graphics in Rector Fieldhouse

-Build a results/ video board in Rector Fieldhouse to enhance the quality of our home meets for spectators, athletes and coaches

-Buy gymnastics equipment and install in Rector Fieldhouse for our Pole Vault program.

"During my 18-year tenure here at Virginia Tech, our cross country and track and field programs have achieved a high level of success. The numbers tell our story- A total of 15 ACC Team Championships, 17 NCAA individual National Champions, 95 All Americans who have earned a total of 258 All American Honors, 200 ACC individual champions and on 12 occasions since 2008 our teams have placed in the top ten at the NCAA National Championships. Our men's team won the 2019 Indoor and Outdoor ACC championship and with a very young team I believe both our men and women will challenge for ACC team titles again in 2020 and will be very strong at the national level as well."
