For 24 hours, alumni, students, faculty, staff, families, and friends have the opportunity to come together and make a powerful, joint impact on the future of Virginia Tech. Gifts of any size on Virginia Tech's Giving Day can make a big impact.

 

What is Giving Day?

Giving Days are one-day fundraising events. Alumni, students, faculty, staff, families, and friends of Virginia Tech are welcome and encouraged to participate from noon on March 19 through noon (Eastern Time) on March 20, 2019. The goal is to engage our community to advance the mission of the university while raising critical funding to ensure we continue to build upon our foundations to provide big opportunities for our students.

Dr. Mark Pitt, Chair of Physics, will donate $500 plus an additional $1.37 (a number well known to all physicists!) for every person that gives to the Physics Department.
