It’s time to come together, Hokies!
Gifts of any size greatly impact Virginia Tech Engineering Hokies:
- $5 provides a four-piece landing gear for a drone that students use to conduct research.
- $10 helps provide sensors and components for students in their bioinstrumentation laboratory.
- $20 provides safety gear like protective eyewear or gloves for one student builder working in community training labs.
- $50 donation purchases 3D printing materials for student design clubs and competitions.
Computer science alumnus Jim Miller ’97 is this year’s challenge donor. With a gift of $50,000, Miller is sponsoring three exciting challenges to build excitement and amplify the impact of your gift on Giving Day.
- Areas with the largest percentage increase in donors relative to their all-time best year’s totals will be rewarded with bonus challenge funds. The top area will receive $10,000, with $6,000, $5,000, and $4,000 going to second, third, and fourth place, respectively. That’s an extra $25,000 up for grabs in addition to the university challenge funds.
- The two areas with the most donors overall will also be rewarded with bonus challenge funds. An extra $10,000 is up for grabs in addition to the university challenge funds, with the top area receiving $6,000 and second place receiving $4,000.
- Classes of 2016–25, this is your chance to make twice the difference! With our young alumni donor challenge, every dollar given to an engineering fund will be matched 1:1, up to $15,000 total.
