The Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets continues to shape world-class leaders—individuals prepared to lead, trusted to serve, and committed to give. As alumni, they rise to meet new challenges and make a lasting impact in their communities and across the globe.
On Giving Day, your gift directly supports today’s cadets through scholarships, emergency aid, leadership development, and more. Every dollar helps remove barriers and opens doors for the next generation of servant-leaders.
- Commandant’s Priorities Fund provides unrestricted support for the Corps to use where the need is greatest.
- Commandant Response Fund supports cadets who face financial crisis.
- VTCC Scholarship Annual Fund helps cover tuition and education-related expenses.
- Major General and Mrs. Randal D. Fullhart Horizon Fund provides additional scholarship support to juniors and seniors to alleviate financial stress and allows them to step into leadership opportunities within the Corps.
- VTCC Museum Fund provides operational and programmatic support to showcase the history of the Corps.
- Highty-Tighties Annual Fund supports the regimental band.
- VTCC Global Scholars Annual Fund supports immersive education opportunities and study abroad experiences while cadets learn about leadership and conflict by studying world war battle sites.
- W. Thomas Rice Center for Leader Development inspires our future leaders by bringing world-renowned speakers to campus and supporting cadet travel to leadership conferences.
This year, we’re asking Corps class years and bud classes to unite, support cadets, and have fun with these five challenges:
Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets Alumni Board Challenge
Thanks to our Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets Alumni Board of Directors, the Corps has the opportunity to secure additional funds this Giving Day. Help us reach our goal of 1,172 Corps donors on Giving Day to unlock additional funds to support the Corps of Cadets.
Corps of Cadets Young Alumni Challenge
When 30 young alumni (from the Class of 2015 and younger) give back to the Corps of Cadets, a $2,000 gift will be unlocked and donated back to the Corps of Cadets by alumni Jack Holland ‘19 and Peter Wilson ‘17.
Cadet Colors Challenge
Corps Color Guard alums Alison Laclede Tillotson '15 and Ian Tillotson '14 challenge 150 cadets to give during Giving Day. When we reach that goal, a $3,500 donation to the Commandant's Priority Fund will be unlocked.
Cadet Company Participation Challenge
Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets Pie Day tradition continues!
The top three cadet companies with the largest percentage increase in donors over last year's Giving Day will win the opportunity to pie a member of the commandant’s staff. Give a gift today and help your favorite company win the opportunity to continue this longtime tradition!
Commandant's Decade Challenge
Support your class decade with a gift to the Corps on Giving Day. The top three decades with the most donors will win additional scholarship funds for cadets from the commandant.
Follow us on Facebook and Instagram for details and to find out the winners after Giving Day ends.
Giving Day ends at noon EST on Thursday, Feb. 19.
