Triumph Together 2021

The Hokies’ youthful group will look to build on the foundation laid down in 2021 as it approaches its first full year of ‘normal’ competition since the 2018-19 campaign. Highly touted recruits Ryan Fishback and Hugo Maia lived up to the hype in their first season, leading the squad in wins. Tech will look to extend its run of NCAA Tournament berths another season, after having made the postseason in 12 of the last 14 years.

YOUR support during Triumph Together will continue to help the Hokies move forward in making the Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center a premier venue in the league and in the nation. Renovations to the pre-existing structure will re-establish this facility as one of the best in college tennis and allow the program to bring in top talent from around the world. Upgrades include locker rooms, coaches offices, a players’ lounge/study area, and new court, which when completed, will bring our facility in line with those at other ACC institutions. 

"The ACC is one of the premier leagues for tennis in the country and it is crucial to be able to continue to gain support from donors in order to help our program compete at the highest level.  We have had very good success over the years in the ACC but this is becoming more and more difficult as schools that we compete with continue to upgrade their facilities, budgets and create an environment that attracts the very best players"
