YOUR support during Triumph Together will go toward enhancing the Virginia Tech men's basketball experience for our student-athletes. From the moment they step on campus as a recruit to the day they graduate, the young men who come through our program will be better because of the enhancements we can make through support on Triumph Together
The Virginia Tech men's basketball team advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the fourth straight time - a program record. Behind its 9-4 mark in ACC play, the Hokies tied for third in the league regular-season standings - which tied for the highest finish in school history. Once again, Tech manufactured some early season momentum, upsetting No. 3 Villanova for the third top five win in the Coach Young era.
Keve Aluma, a second team All-ACC honoree from last season, returns for his senior season after averaging 15.2 points per game and 7.9 rebounds per game. In addition to Aluma, Wofford transfer Storm Murphy - a first team All-SoCon selection last season - Justyn Mutts, Nahiem Alleyne, Hunter Cattoor and David N'Guessan figure to play large roles in helping the Hokies return to the postseason yet again.
"My scholarship allows me to be on this beautiful campus, each and every day. Most people don’t have the chance to have a campus like ours. Another great thing is my scholarship allows me to play basketball at the highest-level and to meet friends that I will have for the rest of my life.”
- Keve Aluma, redshirt senior
