Help Us ‘Pie It Forward’—Because Every Pet Deserves Compassionate Care

Join us for Giving Day 2025! Let’s have some fun and make a real difference. Imagine the laughter and joy as you watch our professors and professionals get pied in the face—all for a powerful cause.

While it’s all in good fun, the reason behind it is serious. At the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine, we see the heart-wrenching reality that many families face when their beloved pets are in need of care they simply can’t afford. That’s where you and the Compassionate Care Fund come in. This fund exists to ensure that no pet is denied critical care simply because of financial hardship.

By donating and joining us for the event, you’re not just sending a pie flying—you’re helping to keep a family together, creating memories for pet owners who might otherwise face heartbreaking decisions. Your contribution, no matter how small, means hope and healing. As an added bonus, your gifts on Giving Day will make an even bigger impact thanks to our generous challenge donors. As we hit milestones in donor participation, larger gifts will be unlocked for each of our hospitals – all which will support families in need!

Tune in on social media @VAMDVetMed during Giving Day to follow our event as our faculty members get pied by our resident ‘ambassa-dog’!
