Join the movement to protect our planet!

We believe everyone has a role to play in creating a healthier world, and we're inviting you to be a part of it. Support the College of Natural Resources and Environment (CNRE) on Giving Day and contribute to the vital work of safeguarding our natural resources.

Your generosity, combined with the support of fellow alumni and friends, will fuel hands-on learning and groundbreaking research that pave the way toward a sustainable future.

Here's how the college made a difference last year, thanks to the support of donors like yourself:

  • Empowering the next generation: More than $440,000 in scholarships were award this past academic year enabled 110 students to pursue undergraduate and advanced degrees in natural resources.
  • Fueling scientific discovery: Research fellowships allowed undergraduates to explore critical topics like sustainable materials, severe weather, and endangered species conservation. Travel grants helped graduate students share their research findings with the world.
  • Providing career pathways: The Manufacturing Academy and PackExpo offered valuable career development opportunities.
  • Advancing critical research: Faculty initiated vital research on wildlife diseases and continued important projects on forest health, carbon sequestration, and innovative forest management techniques.
  • Equipping students for success: Students benefited from new field and lab equipment, including tools for wildlife monitoring, forest measurement, and data collection.

On Giving Day, your gift to the College of Natural Resources and Environment has an even greater impact! Support the area within CNRE that resonates most with you—whether it's the college as a whole, a specific scholarship fund, your department, the Virginia Master Naturalists, or the Student Leadership Institute. By contributing, you'll help us reach participation goals that unlock additional funding.

Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference. Give $5 or more today and help CNRE rise to the top! Go Hokies!
