Corps of Cadets

The Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets continues to evolve as a world-class leader-development program that prepares cadets for the world they will graduate into. Our alumni rise to face new challenges and leave a lasting impact on their communities and around the globe. Your donation to the funds below on Giving Day directly supports today’s cadets.

  • Commandant’s Priorities Fund provides unrestricted support for the Corps to use where the need is greatest.
  • Commandant Response Fund supports cadets who face financial crises.
  • VTCC Scholarship Annual Fund helps cover tuition and education-related expenses.
  • Major General and Mrs. Randal D. Fullhart Horizon Fund provides all junior and senior cadets (in good standing) an additional $3,500 scholarship.
  • VTCC Museum Fund provides operational and programming support to showcase the history of the Corps.
  • Highty-Tighties Annual Fund supports the regimental band.
  • VTCC Global Scholars Annual Fund supports experiential learning opportunities and study abroad experience while cadets learn about leadership and conflict by studying world war battle sites.
  • W. Thomas Rice Center for Leader Development inspires our future leaders by supporting speakers and lecture series to help cadets learn to lead.

This year, we’re asking Corps class years and bud classes to unite, support cadets, and have fun with these four challenges:

Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets Alumni Board Challenge

Thanks to our Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets Alumni Board of Directors, the Corps has the opportunity to secure additional funds this Giving Day. Help us reach our goal of 800 donors to the Corps on Giving Day to unlock additional monies to support the Corps of Cadets.

Cadet Challenge

Corps Color Guard alums Alison Laclede Tillotson '15 and Ian Tillotson '14 challenge 100 cadets to give during Giving Day. When we reach that goal, a $3,000 donation to the Commandant's Priority Fund will be unlocked.

Cadet Company Participation Challenge
Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets is bringing back Pie Day!

The top three cadet companies with the largest percentage increase in donors over last year's Giving Day will win the opportunity to pie a member of the Commandant’s Staff. Give a gift today and help your favorite company welcome back this longtime tradition!

Commandant's Decade Challenge

Support your class decade with a gift to the Corps on Giving Day. The top three decades with the most donors will win additional scholarship funds for cadets from the Commandant.

Follow our Facebook pages for details and to find out the winners after Giving Day ends.
