Check out Giving Day 2023!
Student Affairs

From orientation through graduation, Student Affairs shapes nearly every aspect of the student experience and provides a framework for personal growth and lifelong fulfillment.

Gifts to Student Affairs enable us to do whatever it takes to help every student succeed, find belonging, and ExperienceVT. Please consider making a gift to one of these areas:

  • Student Affairs Annual Fund supports our vice president’s highest priorities and exciting new work focused civic and democracy leadership.
  • Hokie Family Annual Fund helps educate our students about Hokie traditions and supports transition programs like Gobblerfest, Weeks of Welcome, and alcohol-free weekend programming.

Departments:

  • Cook Counseling Center helps Hokies care for their mental health (and in 2021, they were ranked No. 1 for Best Counseling Services by the Princeton Review!)
  • Hokie Wellness empowers Hokies to take an active approach to their physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
  • New Student and Family Programs helps students and their families begin their lives as Hokies.
  • Recreational Sports engages students in physical activities to create healthy lifestyle habits.
  • Schiffert Health Center leads the way in managing community and individual health on campus.
  • Services for Students with Disabilities supports students with disabilities and temporary injuries or illnesses through accommodations and other services.
  • Student Engagement and Campus Life creates innovative environments, events such as Gobblerfest and GobblerNights, and leadership development programs for student organizations.
  • VT Engage: The Center for Leadership and Service Learning equips students to develop as leaders through civic engagement and service-learning opportunities.

Programs:

  • First-Generation Student Support collaborates with departments across campus to identify and address the needs of first-generation college students.
  • Interfaith Program promotes constructive dialogue and builds relationships across lines of difference.
  • The Market of Virginia Tech offers food assistance to students who are struggling to obtain regular, healthy meals.
  • Recovery Community works to ensure that students do not have to choose between recovery from addiction and their education.
  • Student Emergency Fund supports students who find themselves in immediate financial need.

How to make your gift:

On the "Give" page, select Student Affairs as the area of support. If you would like to designate a gift to a specific area, the fund dropdown menu will allow you to select a specific fund. If you don't see your preferred gift designation, please call (800) 533-1144 and make your gift over the phone.

Thank you for your support!
