The Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets continues to evolve as a world-class leader-development program that prepares cadets for the world they graduate into. Our alumni rise to face new challenges and leave a lasting impact on their communities and around the globe.
Your donation to the Corps on Giving Day directly supports today’s cadets.
This year, we’re asking Corps class years to unite, support cadets, and have fun with these two challenges:
Cadet Challenge
Corps Color Guard alums Alison Laclede Tillotson '15 and Ian Tillotson '14 challenge 25 cadets to give during Giving Day. When we reach that goal, a $2,500 donation to the Commandant's Priority Fund will be unlocked.
Commandant’s VTCC Decade Participation Challenge
Make a Giving Day donation to the Corps of Cadets in any amount of $5 or more. Participation is what is being counted!
If you’re an alum, you must include your class year on the online giving form to be counted. If you’re a friend of the Corps, include the decade or class year you want your donation to go toward.
The year groups are:
The decade with the highest number of participants by noon ET Thursday, Feb. 24, will win. The prize is $16,500 added to your decade’s Class Endowed Scholarship provided by Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets Alumni Inc. board members.
Last year, the class years of the 2000s ran away with the victory. Will they do it again? Or will another decade come out on top and earn bragging rights?
Follow our Facebook page for details and to find out the winner after Giving Day ends.
A special thank you to the following board members for making this challenge possible: Fred Belen, Gary and Jill Boward, Mahlon Burnett, Rich and Libby Carpenter, Chip and Lisa Daniels, Rob and Karen Goodson, Staley Hester, Jay and Joyce Jacobsmeyer, Derek Jeffries, Don and JoAnn Robertson, Steve and Danielle Scarfe, Hal Schneikert, and David and Elizabeth Williams.
