Invest in the wellbeing of our communities

Virginia Cooperative Extension is the outreach and education arm of Virginia’s land-grant universities, Virginia Tech and Virginia State University. Our people are our strength, and we care about the communities we serve.

Ever since Virginia Cooperative Extension was founded more than 100 years ago, we have worked tirelessly to help local communities thrive and overcome the challenges of the day through practical and research-based knowledge, services, and solutions.

We take concrete action that advances the well-being of all Virginia. Whether we’re building a more resilient food system, supporting local economies, or mentoring youth, we help manage our natural resources, bridge access to knowledge, and shape a brighter future for our communities.

The youth development arms of Extension — Virginia 4-H and FFA — work throughout the commonwealth to help all youth become the best versions of themselves. These youth development organizations empower them to be upstanding citizens who are actively engaged in their communities and around the world.

Across the state, your gift helps support programs in local communities that

  • Help the agricultural and natural resources industries
  • Protect the environment
  • Empower individuals and families to learn about health and nutrition
  • Grow 4-H, FFA, and other youth leadership and development opportunities.

Together, we can make a difference.

Join us in helping all of Virginia.
