Jill Wilson enters her third season as the head coach of Virginia Tech's volleyball program and returns 12 letterwinners from the 2018 team, including setter Talyn Jackson who showed flashes of her potential when she posted a double-double (45 assists, 13 digs) versus Robert Morris. The Hokies began last season with a perfect 8-0 record, the second-best start in school history, winning their first two nonconference tournaments. And would kick off ACC play with a 3-0 sweep over in-state rival Virginia in the Commonwealth Clash, marking their first sweep over UVA since 2016. Speaking of sweeps in Tech history, the Hokies swept North Carolina 3-0 for the first time since 2006. Off the court, the Hokies got it done in the classroom, having four players make the All-ACC Volleyball Academic Team, the most by Tech in four years.
