Continue to Make an Impact
Women's Basketball

Hokies Women’s Basketball has consistently improved under the helm of head coach Kenny Brooks. Tech went 13-5 in the ACC, a program-best, clinching a second-consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance. Your gift to Virginia Tech Women’s Basketball would help travel expenses, facility improvements, and enhancements to equipment.

"Hokie Nation, thank you for helping us Triumph Together! In order to continue to recruit the best student-athletes from across the country and the world, we need your help on days like today. With your sport-specific gifts, you are helping to fund a large locker room renovation in Hahn Hurst, a summer Foreign Tour & supplementation to our overall recruiting operations budget as we continue to enhance the student-athlete experience here in Blacksburg. On behalf of myself and my staff, thank you!"

- Head Coach, Kenny Brooks

Coach Kenny Brooks and his staff have this program’s momentum on a substantial upswing, and recruits are taking notice around the country. In addition to that, the Hokies fly on some of the longer trips to face some talented opponents, and it has paid dividends for their success. Gifts to Virginia Tech Women’s Basketball during Triumph Together would supplement the team’s travel budget during their season, as well as for the coaching staff’s travel expenses to find potential Hokies around the country.

The Hokies spend most of their time practicing and bonding with each other in the Hahn-Hurst Basketball Practice Facility. Some facets of the facility, including the locker room where the team spends most of its time, are in need of an upgrade. Gifts from Hokie Nation would allow this program to upgrade the locker room and other essential facilities in order to best accommodate the team’s needs and keep up with its peers around the country who have made similar improvements.

Virginia Tech Women’s Basketball student-athletes are vastly proud to represent this university. Gifts during Triumph Together would help this team continue to do that through a boosted equipment budget. This would include practice gear, shoes, and more for the team to comfortably wear.

"I can't thank the numerous donors enough for their unwavering support of the Virginia Tech women's basketball program over the last few years I have been on campus. Being named the 2022 ACC Player of the Year was one of the greatest honors of my life but I know that award is also a representation of the support and faith that each of you places in my coaches, my teammates and me every day. We all take so much pride in being Hokies! It means the world to me to see the fans packing Cassell Coliseum for our games and providing a true home court advantage. We truly appreciate each of your sport specific gifts that impact our program!"

- Elizabeth Kitley, 2022 ACC Player of the Year
