Virginia Tech Women’s Tennis needs the resources to make strides in a stacked conference full of national contenders. Coach Terry Ann Zawacki-Holdren and her talented group of student-athletes would utilize gifts from Triumph Together towards travel expenses, equipment upgrades, and enhancements to the Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center.
"As our student-athletes continue to compete with the best of the best in the ACC, I'm encouraged by the steps that our young team took last season. Furthermore, we've added even more talent that will help us rise through the ranks of the country's best conference. Our players continue to impress in the classroom and I was delighted to see 12 members of our team earn ITA All-Academic recognition this season. Thanks to Hokie Nation's support, we're able to make once-in-a-lifetime experiences happen. It's my hope that soon we can provide world-class facilities for our tennis players to complement the top-of-the-line people here at Virginia Tech."
- Terry Ann Zawacki-Holdren, Head Coach
Triumph Together will be impactful for Virginia Tech Women's Tennis in three key areas:
"Growing up, I’ve always dreamt of combining my two passions: tennis and academics. My freshman year at Virginia Tech helped me experience my dream as a student athlete. I’m surrounded by a great team and a supportive community who helps me throughout my journey. I’m grateful for the opportunity I was given and will try my best to make Hokie Nation proud!"
