The Moss Arts Center is transforming the lives of students, faculty and staff, and residents of Southwest Virginia through performances, exhibitions, and arts experiences, such as the master class with Tanzanian street band Jagwa Music featured above. Many of the Moss Arts Center’s offerings provide dynamic global and inclusive experiences, which lead to cultural awareness and deepened understanding that is so essential in the world today.
In just these first four years of existence, the Moss Arts Center has provided 289 performances, exhibitions, and celebrations, and 469 arts experiences, including master classes, workshops, class visits, and more, with nationally and internationally acclaimed visiting artists.
Why we need your support
A third of our guest artists are from other countries, cultures, and underrepresented voices. Their interaction with our students and our community at large creates transformational experiences. You can help support these important programs. Every gift helps us continue to provide interactions with artists.
The experiences you help fund prepare Virginia Tech students to be global citizens. Your support also makes it possible for us to provide free arts experiences to schoolchildren throughout Southwest Virginia, whose in-school arts programming has been slashed due to shrinking budgets. These programs help children to become well-rounded, creative individuals.
How you can help
A donation of any amount will make a big impact. All Giving Day donations of $25 or more to the Moss Arts Center will be recognized in the 2018-19 season Moss Arts Center programs. We appreciate your support!
